Fayette County Cemeteries
& Tombstone Album

Crum Chapel Cemetery

Dear Ancestor

Your tombstone stands among the rest; Neglected and alone. The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marbled stone. It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn. You did not know that I exist You died and I was born. Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, in bone. Our blood contracts and beats a pulse Entirely not our own. Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so. I wonder if you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you.

If you have tomstone photos that you want to share:
1) Scan all photos and save as .JPG format (always save in lowercase letters)
I  prefer the lastname first then first name when saving the name of photos.
2) Send as an attachment and e-mail  to Penny Lewis
3) Write the actual inscription on the stone in the message.
4) Name the Cemetery or location where burial took place.
4) If you have the obituary you may add it as an attachment as well.

These photos are not intended to offend anyone and are presented in the utmost respect of our fellow ancestors. These photos are to assist  family members and researchers searching for their ancestors  and those who othersise could not visit these cemeteries. If you have any problem with any of the photos please send a NICE e-mail to me. We hope that this album is an invaluable tool in finding your roots.
