VERLA CRUM--- Verla V. CRUM, age 70 of St. Elmo, Illinois died Wednesday, August 4, 1999 at

8:20 p.m. at the St Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Funeral Services were held on

Saturday, August 7th at 10 a.m. at May-Kessel Funeral Home in St. Elmo. Burial was at the

Maplewood Cemetery in St. Elmo. Visitation was on Friday, August 6th from 6-8p.m. at the

May-Kessel Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family. Verla was born on October 28,

1928 in Wilberton Twp., Fayette County, to Lester A. and Anna E. (RADCLIFF) FINLEY. She was

employed as a seamstress for many years at area Garment and Drapery Factories, and retired in

1990 from the housekeeping Department at Friendship Manor Nursing Home in St. Elmo. On

March 29, 1947 in Effingham she married Fountain D. "~Jack"~ CRUM, who survives. She is also

survived by: Three Daughters: Connie LOGUE, Jackolyn BROWN, and Lori DURBIN.

Two sons: Russell (wife: Patty) CRUM and Owen ( wife, Crystal) CRUM. 22

grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, Three brother: Darrel (wife: Lois) FINLEY, Dennis

(wife: Connie) FINLEY, and Lloyd (wife, Pansy) Finley. Many

Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by Parents, infant Daughter Evelyn, One son:

Daniel, One Sister Anna FINLEY, and One brother David OLGESBY.
